I’m Austin Young, and I’m not famous for fitting in.

One of the great challenges in my life is wrestling between the age old question of, “Am I an arrogant ass or am I just forward-thinking enough to have ideas that aren’t popular?”

The overwhelming likelihood is that columns A and B are both factoring into the final result.  In an effort to compile all those arguably unpopular opinions in one place, I started this blog.

…well, restarted this blog.  It was originally a repository for pictures and travelogues when I lived abroad.  I now value those reflections deeply as our culture homogenizes along corporate lines and away from being uniquely derived by the people themselves and the environments they inhabit.

This blog is one man, shouting into a growing void and hoping to hear it shout back.
